MythicFang part 39

"I can't disagree with that. I'm going to speak with Vera before we find someplace to rest for the night. You coming along?" Ember asked.
"Yeah, I'm coming." Blu nodded before both mythical walked over to the white dragon dog.
"Vera...Can we talk to you?" Blu asked
Vera looked at both mythical dogs and nodded.
"Of course Blu." Vera replied with a small smile "What is it?"
Blu glanced at Ember, promting him to start
"Do you anything about the leviathans plans? Or even locusts?" Ember asked. "Or your sisters?"
"O..oh." Vera replied, looking away "I'm afraid I don't. I haven't even seen him myself. My sister was the only one of my small group who saw him. And because of that, she was offered a high rank...below Locust's rank if I remember correctly."
Blu narrowed his eyes. He smirked.
"The leviathan saw some potential in her." Vera added "My sister and the rest of my group, even me, blindly followed the Leviathan's orders."
"Tch...bastard..." Blu growled softly
"Trust me, you don't want to meet him in person." Ember said. "Your sister seems, friendly, what can you tell us about her? She's not your blood sister i know."
"Well...she's my adoptive elder sister..." Vera replied "My parents were killed when I was just a pup, so I was adopted by my mother, a frilled/ western hydra dog mix named Luri."
"When our mother died and entrusted leadership of our small pack, Hydromeda had heard of the Leviathan, We immediately began to seek him out. Why? I don't know...She was persistant, I will say."
Ember took this in with grim concern. He looked at Blu. "Puzzling. I wonder why she sought him out." He said to himself. "Go ahead Blu, I have answers to my questions. It's your turn to speak and ask questions."
Blu simply shook his head‏
"I have no questions to ask for the moment." Blu looked at Vera "Thank you for telling us what you know."‏
"Your welcome..." Vera replied with a nod.

Locust waited at the mouth of the leviathans cave. Two night hunters by his side. The leviathan had ordered hydromeda back a while ago but she had yet to show up. He turned to the night hunter on his right. "If she doesn't show up in the next 20 minutes, gather your brothers and sisters and bring me the deserters head."
The night hunter laughed happily at the prospect of hunting her down.
"Hold your fucking horses...I'm here!" Hydromeda snarled between breaths "I had to run here nonstop."
Locust didn't move, he just glared. "You have kept the leviathan waiting, he isn't pleased to say the least." He said. "You had better get down there before he comes to hunt you down himself."
Hydromeda simply growled, baring her teeth at the dragon dog before rushing inside the cave. She soon reached the Leviathan's chamber, and crouched before the giant serpant.
"You requested my presence, my lord?" She said, eyes closed.
Leviathan wasn't pleased, he glared at her. "I gave you a simple task, to capture a lowly dragon dog. You failed." His fangs extending and retracting as he spoke.
Hydromeda flinched at his voice but dared not moved. She took a deep breath.
"But my lord...It wasn't entirely my fault. I had them...but then this pack of naga dogs appeared and interfered with Blu's capture." The hydra dog explained, avoiding his gaze.
He growled angrily. "I let you dogs live, I am your lord and master. Please me and I shall reward you, disappoint me..." His tail whipped forward and smashed a
Large stalagmite to nothing more than small stones. His angry tone changed to a warning hiss. "....and you will suffer."
"Y…yes my lord." Hydromeda bowed her head.
"You have two choices left, either I kill you here and now or you do something for me. Make your choice." He said with a hiss and quickly surrounded her.
Hydromeda struggled to stand still, but seeing that the Leviathan had threaten to kill her, she began to shake.
"P…Please! Allow me to do something for you! And I promise that I'll get it done!" Hydromeda exclaimed, afraid to lose her life.
He smiled threateningly. "Very well, but from now on you belong to me. You are my servant, you body and soul are now mine." He said. "Accept this and I shall give you your task."
Hydromeda gulped before replying "Y-yes...my lord..."
"Good." He moved around her and moved deeper into the can he nodded his head for her to follow. "Tell me, what do you recall of Wyvernos injury."
Hydromeda followed the massive wyrm
"Not much sir, just that Blu decapitated him with a wyvern's stinger." Hydromeda replied
"Then let me fill you shall I. Wyvern had a injury that granted him great growth." Leviathan explained as they came to the end of his cave. "I sought to replicate it without the need to cause such damage. For months my search went on fruitlessly, but thanks to serpentfang, I have finally found a method."
"My lord...?"Hydromeda stepped forward, head tilting slightly.
He hissed something in his language at a dark corner and a night hunter basillisk came forward holding something in his second set of claws. He dropped it on the ground in front of her. It was a strange spined fish with long fins and an orang red colouring.
"This fish produces a powerful toxin that targets the growth center in organisms. After some experimentation I discovered that either it will grant great strength and growth such as Wyverno, or death." He told her. "We only discovered a handful of them. They are quite a rare species it seems."
Hydromeda stared at the strange fish then back at her lord and master.
"What will you do with it?" She asked, a bit a fear creeping into her voice.
"You will use it. If you survive, you shall become stronger than any other mythic dog in existence and you will have earned the mission I have in mind for you." He explained. "I give you a chance to change your mind hyrdomeda. You can choose pain and possible death for a second chance at life or I can kill now and free you."
Hydromeda looked at the fish again. She gulped.
"I'll...I'll do it…" Hydromeda said quietly "I'll use it..."
"Good, now the toxin will take a moment to work after consumed. Enjoy your meal. If your alive at the end of all this, you shall return her for your mission." He glanced at the night hunter. "He will make sure you're taken care of while the toxin works."
He lowered his head and level his gaze with hers and glanced down at the fish. He waited patiently for her to consume the fish.
The hydra dog shifted her glance at the massive Wyrm to the fish many times as she slowly approached it. For a short while she just stared down at the fish. She was afraid, but she didn't want to disappoint her master. So she lowered her head, jaws slowly opening, and began to eat the fish.
Once she was done, she glanced at the Leviathan before she felt her body tensed up. She began to cringe. She gritted her teeth as she colloasped onto the ground. "Her eyes snapped opened as she opened her mouth in a scream. Her body began to twist and turn furiously as if her body was on fire. Foam slowly formed out of her mouths as she gasped for air.
He moved away. "Now, survive hydromeda. Survive and you shall be reborn stronger than ever." He told her. "Think of vengeance, think of how will defeat all those who oppose you, who oppose me. Think of Vera."
The hydra dog's eyes became wide when her lord mentioned vengeance. She slammed her forpaws onto the ground as she began to stand.  She reared her head in another scream...a scream of rage rather than a scream of pain. Her body spasmed, but she stood and took it. Her body began to alter. She slowly became larger, her claws sharper and longer, spines grew out of her back and down to her tail, ending with 3 spikes.
She stood there, panting heavily. Her eyes were closed as she did so. Suddenly, they snapped opened revealing black and yellow eyes. Her body color soon changed from blue, black and white to red, purple, and black. She gave herself a look once over. A wide evil grin spread across her face. She began to chuckle which quickly erupted into insane laughter.
The leviathan joined in with his own. Glad with his success. "Excellent, you are strong. From now on, you are no longer hydromeda, you are hydromadarr, the queen of hydras." He said. "Now, for your mission. I want you to get Blu and his friends. And we shall free Vera from their control or kill her. They stole her from you, I can return her to you as she was before."
"Yes...Master." Hydromedarr giggled insanely "Vera shall return to serving you my lord."
"Now go and rest, your growth has yet to finish. Enjoy your power, but always remember, you belong to me." He said as he disappeared down a side passage into the network of underground caverns. The night hunter had disappeared as well leaving her alone in the chamber.
"Yes…master." Hydromedarr replied, grinning more evily

Blu and his followers followed the naga dogs until they came apon an large abandon building.
"Here we are." GC said as Blu walked up next to him
